CHR: Holy Trinity, Hull Parish Reg Bishop's Transcript; FHL film 0990833. "dau of William & Jane Wastling." NOTE: I (Vauna Green) am not convinced that this refers to this William & Jane Waslin, but I don't currently know of another couple of this name. Need to order her birth certificate in order to see what her mother's birth name was - however, I don't find an entry for her in the Civil Registration Birth Indexes. There is a Mary Ann born 3 Aug 1840 Skidby Ings but her parents are Thomas Wastling & his wife Elizabeth Sunman. NOTE THERE IS AN ENTRY IN THE IGI FOR THIS MARY ANN as the daughter of William Waslin & Jane Thirsk, but it looks to me that the submitter got his or her information from my web site. I WAS NOT READY TO SUBMIT HER BECAUSE I SUSPECTED THAT SHE DIDN'T BELONG IN THIS FAMILY.
PARENTS: per e-mail from Elaine Metcalf dated 10 July 2002 this Mary Ann WASTLING appears to be the daughter of William WASLIN who married Jane WARD, daughter of Martin WARD and Ann APPLEYARD.
THIS CHILD APPARENTLY DOES NOT BELONG IN THIS FAMILY.
