marriage (1897) - he had already had his birthday so that puts his birth
1866. At death (1931) his age is given as
63 - he had not yet had his birthday so that puts his birth 1867. In the 1870
census he is said to be 2 years old. He hasn't had his birthdate yet, so that
puts his birth year 1867. The 1900 census gives month year of birth - he says
Sept 1867. Note his death certificate does give his birth date, but they
accidentally put his death year instead of his birth year.
