Edythe Lovena Christenson Robbins, 91, passed away May 11, 1991 of natural causes.
Born April 22, 1900 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew B. and Sarah Jane Bartholomew Christenson. She married Burtis France Robbins, January 14, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, she served in many positions of teaching and leadership during her long and productive life. She fulfilled a mission in Germany from 1957-1960 as companion to her husband, who was mission president. A lifelong enthusiast of cultural and educational pursuits, she was an accomplished musician and teacher. She studied at Leland Powers School for Dramatic Arts and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She was a member of the Tabernacle Choir for many years and directed youth and ward choirs. She was also a noted watercolorist.
She is survived by one son, four daughters, LIVING ; 30 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, Sheldon, of Salt Lake; Luther and Velda Christenson, Provo; LIVING ; LIVING . She was preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 12 noon at the East Millcreek Stake Center, 3101 E. Craig Drive (3650 So.) Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple and Tuesday 10:45-11:45 at the stake center. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Born November 27, 1905 in Salt Lake City, the son of Andrew B. Christenson and Sarah Jane Bartholomew. Married Mary Ure Pratt, September 16, 1929 in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death.
Served LDS mission to Germany. Held many church position including counselor in two bishoprics, stake missionary and counselor at Utah State Prison. Member Haven Ward.
Worked as insurance broker and business consultant. Also was an outstanding teacher and professional writer.
Survivors: sons, Neil P. (LaVerle); Richard P. (Shirley); Robert P. (Sylva); and Delbert P. (Elyse); also one brother, Luther and two sisters, Lucile and Margaret; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services at 12 noon Friday, Dec. 10th, Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thurs., and Fri. one hour prior to service. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
