NAME: The daughter of Abraham Jones &
Lillie May Metcalf. Abraham Jones left the family when Gladys was just a baby.
As per mother's death certificate, she went by Miss Gladys METCALF instead of
Jones. Letter from Catherine Huff Gray
states that Gladys took the name METCALF after mother's divorce from Mr Jones.
Note the Social Security Administration had her surname Metcalf, as do all
other records.
