A funeral for Leila Duncan, a longtime Portland resident, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Portland Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Portland Memorial Mausoleum. She died of causes related to age Sunday in a Portland care center. Mrs. Duncan was 89.
Born Jan. 16, 1903, in Imbler, she was a graduate of Imbler High School. She lived in North Powder and La Grande before moving to the Portland area in 1940. Mrs. Duncan worked as a sales clerk for several local businesses. She was employed by the downtown Meier & Frank Co. store for about 10 years until her retirement.
She is survived by a sister, Nita Wiggins.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Laurelhurst Care Center.
