IV.   GEORGE METCALFE, second son to James Metcalfe, which James was grandson to Thomas Metcalfe, Chancelour of the Dutchy of Lancaster, of Hood Grange, b. circ. 1516. Will 27 Mar., pr. at York 13 June 1571 (Reg. Test., xix, 207) ; mar. Elizabeth (?) Bankes. Will 13 Nov. 1580, pr. at York 10 June 1581 (Reg. Test., xxii, 60). They had issue--

              1.     Gilbert Metcalfe, of Hood Grange (see Glover's Visitation).

V.   RICHARD METCALFE, of North-Allerton, died in ao 1616 or thereabouts ; mar. Anne or Margaret, daughter of Roger Wilson, of Danby-Wiske, in co. Ebor. They had issue--

VI.   GEORGE METCALFE, of Allerton, one of the Justices of Peace in the North Riding of Yorkesh., died in ao 1642. Will 28 May 1642, pr. at York 14 May 1647 (unreg.) to be bur. at North Allerton ; mar. Elizabeth, daughter of William Talbot, of Knaton (Knayton), in com. Ebor., gent. They had issue--

                      mar. 19 Dec. 1650, she was bur. 24 May 1674 at Arncliffe.
